Bu nedir?

Present Simple, alışkanlıklar, rutinler, gerçekler, kalıcı durumlar ve düzenli olarak gerçekleşen şeyler hakkında konuşmak için kullanılır.

Örnekler:

• I work from home.
• She drinks coffee every morning.
• The sun rises in the east.

he, she ve it ile fiil genellikle -s veya -es ile biter.

• I work.
• He works.
• They watch television.
• She watches television.

Ne zaman kullanılır

Present Simple'ı şunlar için kullanın:

• alışkanlıklar ve rutinler: I walk to work every day.
• tekrarlanan eylemler: She calls her mother every Sunday.
• genel gerçekler: Water boils at 100°C.
• kalıcı durumlar: They live in Canada.
• görüşler ve hisler: I like this song.
• programlar ve zaman çizelgeleri: The train leaves at six.
• talimatlar ve yönlendirmeler: Turn left, and the bank is on your right.

Olumlu cümleler

I, you, we ve they ile fiilin yalın halini kullanın.

he, she ve it ile fiili -s veya -es ile kullanın.

he, she ve it ile yazım

Olumsuz cümleler

Kullanın:

özne + do not/does not + yalın fiil

Kısa biçimler şunlardır:

• do not → don’t
• does not → doesn’t

doesn’t'ten sonra fiilin yalın halini kullanın.

Sıklık zarfları

always, usually, often, sometimes ve never gibi zarflar genellikle ana fiilden önce gelir.

• I usually get up at seven.
• She often walks to work.
• They never eat meat.

to be fiiliyle zarf genellikle fiilden sonra gelir.

• He is always busy.
• We are usually at home.

İstisnalar

to be fiili am, is ve are kullanır ve olumsuz ve sorularda do veya does kullanmaz.

• I am tired.
• She isn’t at home.

have fiili Amerikan İngilizcesinde genellikle düzenlidir.

• Do you have a car?
• She doesn’t have a car.

İngiliz İngilizcesinde have got da yaygındır.

• Have you got a car?
• She hasn’t got a car.

Bazı fiiller durumları tanımlar ve genellikle Present Continuous yerine Present Simple'da kullanılır.

Yaygın hatalar

1. Yanlış: He work every day. Doğru: He works every day. Açıklama: he, she ve it ile fiile -s ekleyin.

2. Yanlış: She don’t like coffee. Doğru: She doesn’t like coffee. Açıklama: she ile doesn’t kullanın.

3. Yanlış: Does he works here? Doğru: Does he work here? Açıklama: does'ten sonra yalın fiil kullanın.

4. Yanlış: I am go to work every day. Doğru: I go to work every day. Açıklama: Normal bir Present Simple fiilinden önce am kullanmayın.

5. Yanlış: They doesn’t live here. Doğru: They don’t live here. Açıklama: they ile don’t kullanın.

6. Yanlış: She studys English. Doğru: She studies English. Açıklama: -es eklemeden önce ünsüz + y'yi i'ye değiştirin.

7. Yanlış: Do she speak French? Doğru: Does she speak French? Açıklama: she ile does kullanın.

8. Yanlış: He doesn’t goes to school. Doğru: He doesn’t go to school. Açıklama: doesn’t'ten sonra yalın biçimi kullanın.
