આ શું છે?

ઇન્ટેન્સિફાયર એવા શબ્દો છે જે વિશેષણ અથવા ક્રિયાવિશેષણની તીવ્રતા બદલે છે.

તેઓ વર્ણનને વધુ મજબૂત અથવા નબળું બનાવી શકે છે.

સામાન્ય મૂળભૂત ઇન્ટેન્સિફાયરમાં આનો સમાવેશ થાય છે:

  • very
  • really
  • so
  • too
  • quite
  • a little
  • a bit

ઉદાહરણો:

ક્રિયાવિશેષણ સાથે, આનો ઉપયોગ કરો:

  • She speaks very quietly.
  • He drives too quickly.
  • They work quite slowly.

પરિણામ સમજાવવા માટે too + વિશેષણ/ક્રિયાવિશેષણ + to + ક્રિયાપદ નો ઉપયોગ કરો.

  • The coffee is too hot to drink.
  • He speaks too quickly to understand.

  • She spoke so quietly that I could not hear her.

ઉદાહરણો

અપવાદો

Very સામાન્ય રીતે એવા વિશેષણો સાથે વપરાતું નથી જેમનો અર્થ પહેલેથી જ અતિશય હોય.

very excellent ને બદલે, excellent અથવા really excellent કહો.

very impossible ને બદલે, impossible અથવા completely impossible કહો.

અનૌપચારિક અંગ્રેજીમાં, really ઘણીવાર સામાન્ય અને અતિશય બંને વિશેષણો સાથે વપરાય છે.

સામાન્ય ભૂલો

  1. ખોટું: The room is very much cold. સાચું: The room is very cold. સમજૂતી: વિશેષણ પહેલાં સીધું very વાપરો.

  3. ખોટું: She speaks very slow. સાચું: She speaks very slowly. સમજૂતી: કોઈ કેવી રીતે બોલે છે તે દર્શાવવા ક્રિયાવિશેષણ વાપરો.

  4. ખોટું: I am bit tired. સાચું: I am a bit tired. સમજૂતી: માત્ર bit નહીં, a bit વાપરો.

  5. ખોટું: The coffee is too very hot. સાચું: The coffee is too hot. સમજૂતી: સામાન્ય રીતે too અને very એકસાથે ન વાપરો.

  6. ખોટું: He is so a friendly person. સાચું: He is such a friendly person. સમજૂતી: સંજ્ઞા શબ્દસમૂહ પહેલાં such વાપરો.

  7. ખોટું: The film was very amazing. સાચું: The film was really amazing. સમજૂતી: amazing જેવા અતિશય વિશેષણ સાથે really વધુ સ્વાભાવિક છે.
