၎င်းသည် ဘာလဲ?

မေးခွန်းများကို သတင်းအချက်အလက်၊ အတည်ပြုချက်၊ ခွင့်ပြုချက် သို့မဟုတ် အကူအညီတောင်းရန် အသုံးပြုသည်။

အင်္ဂလိပ်မေးခွန်းများသည် မကြာခဏ ကြိယာအကူ (auxiliary verb) ကို ကတ္တားရှေ့တွင် သုံးသည်။

အသုံးများသော မေးခွန်းစကားလုံးများမှာ-

မည်သည့်အခါသုံးရမည်နည်း

အဖြေသည် yes သို့မဟုတ် no ဖြစ်နိုင်လျှင် yes-or-no မေးခွန်းများကို သုံးပါ။

• Can they come?

တိကျသောသတင်းအချက်အလက် လိုအပ်သည့်အခါ question-word မေးခွန်းများကို သုံးပါ။

• What do you want?
• Where does she work?
• When are they leaving?

အောက်ပါတို့ကို မေးရန် မေးခွန်းများကို သုံးပါ-

• လူများ: Who is that?
• အရာများ: What is this?
• နေရာများ: Where do you live?

သုံးပါ-

am/is/are + ကတ္တား + ပေါင်းစပ်ချက် (complement)?

အတိတ်ကာလမေးခွန်းများအတွက် was သို့မဟုတ် were ကို သုံးပါ။

အခြားကြိယာများဖြင့် မေးခွန်းများ

Present Simple တွင် do သို့မဟုတ် does ကို သုံးပါ။

do/does + ကတ္တား + အခြေခံကြိယာ (base verb)?

Past Simple တွင် did ကို သုံးပါ။

did + ကတ္တား + အခြေခံကြိယာ?

modal ကြိယာများဖြင့် မေးခွန်းများ

modal ကြိယာကို ကတ္တားရှေ့တွင် ထားပါ။

Question-word မေးခွန်းများ

question word ကို ကြိယာအကူရှေ့တွင် ထားပါ။

to be ဖြင့် သုံးပါ-

question word + am/is/are/was/were + ကတ္တား?

ကတ္တားမေးခွန်းများ (Subject questions)

who သို့မဟုတ် what သည် ကတ္တားဖြစ်သောအခါ do, does သို့မဟုတ် did ကို မသုံးပါနှင့်။

modal ကြိယာများဖြင့် do, does သို့မဟုတ် did ကို မသုံးပါနှင့်။

• မှန်သည်: Can he drive?
• မှားသည်: Does he can drive?

မေးခွန်းစကားလုံးသည် ကတ္တားဖြစ်သောအခါ ပုံမှန် ကတ္တား-မေးခွန်းစကားလုံး အစီအစဉ်ကို သုံးသည်။

• Who knows the answer?
• What caused the problem?

အချို့မေးခွန်းများသည် စကားပြောတွင် အံ့အားသင့်မှု သို့မဟုတ် သတင်းအချက်အလက် စစ်ဆေးသည့်အခါ ကြေညာချက်ပုံစံမျိုး ရှိနိုင်သည်။

• You finished already?
• She lives here?

ဤပုံစံများသည် စကားပြောတွင် အသုံးများသော်လည်း တရားဝင်အရေးအသားတွင် သင့်လျော်မှုနည်းသည်။
