එය කුමක්ද?

Imperatives යනු යමෙකුට කුමක් කළ යුතුද යන්න හෝ නොකළ යුතුද යන්න පැවසීමට භාවිතා කරයි.

ධනාත්මක imperative එකක් විධානයක්, උපදෙසක්, ඉල්ලීමක්, ආරාධනයක් හෝ උපදෙසක් ලබා දෙයි.

• Open the door.
• Please sit down.
• Take some water.

සෘණාත්මක imperative එකක් යමෙකුට යමක් නොකරන ලෙස පවසයි.

• Do not open the door.
• Don’t touch that.
• Don’t be late.

Imperatives සාමාන්යයෙන් subject එකක් ඇතුළත් නොවේ. අවබෝධ කරගත් subject එක you වේ.

භාවිතා කරන විට

මේ සඳහා imperatives භාවිතා කරන්න:

• විධාන: Stop talking.
• උපදෙස්: Turn left at the traffic lights.
• ඉල්ලීම්: Please help me.
• උපදෙස්: Get some rest.
• අනතුරු ඇඟවීම්: Be careful.
• ආරාධනා: Come in.
• තහනම්: Don’t park here.

Imperative එකක් වඩාත් ආචාරශීලී කිරීමට please භාවිතා කරන්න.

• Please close the window.
• Wait here, please.

ධනාත්මක imperatives

ක්රියාපදයේ මූලික ආකාරය භාවිතා කරන්න.

ක්රියාපදය එක් පුද්ගලයෙකුට හෝ පුද්ගලයන් කිහිප දෙනෙකුට සමාන වේ.

• Come here, Anna.
• Come here, everyone.

සෘණාත්මක imperatives

ක්රියාපදයේ මූලික ආකාරයට පෙර do not හෝ don’t භාවිතා කරන්න.

Do not යනු don’t ට වඩා විධිමත් ය.

be සමඟ imperatives

ධනාත්මක imperatives වලදී be භාවිතා කරන්න.

• Be quiet.
• Be careful.

සෘණාත්මක imperatives වලදී don’t be භාවිතා කරන්න.

• Don’t be rude.
• Don’t be afraid.

let’s සමඟ imperatives

යමක් එකට කිරීමට යෝජනා කිරීමට let’s + මූලික ක්රියාපදය භාවිතා කරන්න.

• Let’s go home.
• Let’s take a break.

සෘණාත්මක යෝජනාවක් සඳහා let’s not + මූලික ක්රියාපදය භාවිතා කරන්න.

• Let’s not argue.
• Let’s not wait too long.

උදාහරණ

1. Close the window, please.
2. Don’t use your phone here.
3. Turn right after the bank.
4. Please do not leave your bag unattended.
5. Be careful on the stairs.
6. Don’t be late for the meeting.
7. Take this medicine with food.
8. Come and sit with us.
9. Let’s order some food.
10. Let’s not talk about work tonight.

ව්යතිරේක

you යන subject එක සමහර විට අවධාරණය, වෙනස හෝ ප්රබල හැඟීම් සඳහා ඇතුළත් වේ.

• You stay here.
• You be careful.

මෙම භාවිතය බලවත් ලෙස ශබ්ද කළ හැකි බැවින් එය ප්රවේශමෙන් භාවිතා කළ යුතුය.

Imperatives වල ප්රධාන ක්රියාපදයට පෙර always සහ never භාවිතා කරන්න.

• Always check the door.
• Never share your password.

do not never භාවිතා නොකරන්න, මන්ද එය වැරදි ද්විත්ව සෘණාත්මක බවක් ඇති කරයි.

1. වැරදි: You close the door. නිවැරදි: Close the door. පැහැදිලි කිරීම: Imperatives සාමාන්යයෙන් you යන subject එක ඇතුළත් නොවේ.

2. වැරදි: To open the window. නිවැරදි: Open the window. පැහැදිලි කිරීම: to නොමැතිව මූලික ක්රියාපදය භාවිතා කරන්න.

3. වැරදි: Don’t to touch that. නිවැරදි: Don’t touch that. පැහැදිලි කිරීම: to නොමැතිව don’t + මූලික ක්රියාපදය භාවිතා කරන්න.

4. වැරදි: Not open the door. නිවැරදි: Don’t open the door. පැහැදිලි කිරීම: සෘණාත්මක imperative එකක් සෑදීමට do not හෝ don’t භාවිතා කරන්න.

5. වැරදි: Don’t be touch the machine. නිවැරදි: Don’t touch the machine. පැහැදිලි කිරීම: be භාවිතා කරන්නේ adjective, noun හෝ ඒ හා සමාන විස්තරයකට පෙර පමණි.
