یہ کیا ہے؟

Be going to مستقبل کے منصوبوں، ارادوں اور موجودہ شواہد پر مبنی پیشین گوئیوں کے بارے میں بات کرنے کے لیے استعمال ہوتا ہے۔

یہ be کی درست شکل، اس کے بعد going to اور فعل کی بنیادی شکل کے ساتھ بنتا ہے۔

• I am going to travel next month.
• She is going to study tonight.
• They are going to move soon.

be کی شکل فاعل کے مطابق بدلتی ہے۔

کب استعمال کریں

be going to کا استعمال مستقبل کے منصوبے یا ارادے کے لیے کریں جو پہلے ہی طے ہو چکا ہو۔

• I am going to call my mother tonight.
• We are going to buy a new table.
• He is going to start a new job.

be going to کا استعمال کسی ایسی پیشین گوئی کے لیے کریں جو اس چیز پر مبنی ہو جو آپ ابھی دیکھ یا جان سکتے ہیں۔

• Look at those clouds. It is going to rain.
• That glass is going to fall.
• She studied very hard. She is going to pass the test.

عام طور پر بولنے کے عین لمحے کیے گئے فیصلے کے لیے going to استعمال نہ کریں۔ اس قسم کے فیصلے کے لیے Will زیادہ عام ہے۔

• The phone is ringing. I will answer it.

مثبت جملے

استعمال کریں:

subject + am/is/are + going to + base verb

• I am going to cook dinner.
• She is going to visit her friend.
• We are going to watch a film.

عام مخففات یہ ہیں:

• I am → I’m
• he is → he’s
• she is → she’s
• it is → it’s
• you are → you’re
• we are → we’re
• they are → they’re

منفی جملے

استعمال کریں:

subject + am/is/are + not + going to + base verb

• I am not going to stay long.
• He is not going to drive.
• They are not going to come.

عام منفی مخففات یہ ہیں:

• is not → isn’t
• are not → aren’t

am not کے لیے کوئی معیاری مخفف نہیں ہے۔

استعمال کریں:

مختصر جوابات میں فعل be استعمال ہوتا ہے۔

مرکزی فعل "go"

going to کے بعد آنے والا فعل go بھی ہو سکتا ہے۔

غیر رسمی انگریزی میں، جب منزل واضح ہو تو بولنے والے اکثر going to go کو دہرانے سے گریز کرتے ہیں۔

مستثنیات

Going to عام طور پر مستقبل کے وقت کو بیان کرتا ہے، لیکن فعل be کو پھر بھی فاعل سے مطابقت رکھنی چاہیے۔

• I am going to work.
• She is going to work.
• They are going to work.

کچھ فعل مستقل صورتوں میں عام طور پر استعمال نہیں ہوتے، لیکن وہ پھر بھی اپنی بنیادی شکل میں going to کے بعد آ سکتے ہیں۔

• I am going to know the answer soon.
• She is going to understand the problem.

غیر رسمی گفتگو میں، going to کو اکثر gonna کی طرح تلفظ کیا جاتا ہے، لیکن رسمی تحریر میں gonna سے عام طور پر گریز کیا جاتا ہے۔

• غیر رسمی گفتگو: I’m gonna call him.

عام غلطیاں

1. غلط: I going to study tonight. درست: I am going to study tonight. وضاحت: going to سے پہلے be کی درست شکل استعمال کریں۔

2. غلط: She are going to travel. درست: She is going to travel. وضاحت: she کے ساتھ is استعمال کریں۔

3. غلط: They is going to buy a house. درست: They are going to buy a house. وضاحت: they کے ساتھ are استعمال کریں۔

4. غلط: He is going to studies tonight. درست: He is going to study tonight. وضاحت: going to کے بعد فعل کی بنیادی شکل استعمال کریں۔

5. غلط: Are going to you call her? درست: Are you going to call her? وضاحت: سوالیہ جملوں میں فاعل کو am، is یا are کے بعد رکھیں۔

6. غلط: She not is going to come. درست: She is not going to come. وضاحت: not کو فعل be کے بعد رکھیں۔

7. غلط: Do you going to work tomorrow? درست: Are you going to work tomorrow? وضاحت: سوال بنانے کے لیے do نہیں بلکہ am، is یا are استعمال کریں۔

8. غلط: I am going to will call him. درست: I am going to call him. وضاحت: going to کے بعد will استعمال نہ کریں۔
