Pridjevi opisuju imenice. Oni daju više informacija o osobi, mjestu, stvari ili ideji.

Uobičajeni pridjevi opisuju osobine kao što su veličina, boja, dob, oblik ili mišljenje.

Pridjevi također mogu doći nakon glagola kao što su be, look, feel, seem i become.
