این چیست؟

صفت‌های عالی (Superlative Adjectives) برای مقایسه یک شخص، چیز، مکان یا موقعیت با همه افراد دیگر در یک گروه به کار می‌روند.

آن‌ها بالاترین یا پایین‌ترین درجه یک ویژگی را نشان می‌دهند.

در انگلیسی، صفت‌های عالی معمولاً از حرف تعریف the استفاده می‌کنند.

• tall → the tallest
• fast → the fastest
• beautiful → the most beautiful
• expensive → the most expensive

چه زمانی استفاده می‌شود

از صفت عالی استفاده کنید وقتی یک شخص یا چیز را با یک گروه کامل مقایسه می‌کنید.

• Emma is the tallest student in the class.
• This is the cheapest phone in the store.

از صفت‌های عالی برای توصیف بالاترین درجه یک ویژگی استفاده کنید.

• It is the hottest day of the week.
• He is the fastest runner on the team.

از the most + adjective با بسیاری از صفت‌های بلندتر استفاده کنید.

• This is the most interesting book here.
• That is the most expensive restaurant in town.

از the least + adjective برای پایین‌ترین درجه یک ویژگی استفاده کنید.

• This is the least difficult exercise.
• It is the least expensive option.

ساختار

برای بسیاری از صفت‌های کوتاه، -est را اضافه کنید.

Subject + be + the + adjective-est + noun/complement

• tall → the tallest
• small → the smallest
• fast → the fastest

مثال:

Leo is the tallest student in the class.

اگر صفتی به -e ختم شود، فقط -st را اضافه کنید.

• nice → the nicest
• large → the largest

اگر یک صفت کوتاه به یک مصوت + یک صامت ختم شود، صامت پایانی اغلب دو برابر می‌شود.

• big → the biggest
• hot → the hottest

اگر صفتی به صامت + -y ختم شود، y را به i تغییر دهید و -est را اضافه کنید.

• happy → the happiest
• easy → the easiest

برای بسیاری از صفت‌های بلندتر، از the most استفاده کنید.

Subject + be + the most + adjective + noun/complement

مثال:

This is the most comfortable chair in the room.

برای نشان دادن پایین‌ترین درجه، از the least استفاده کنید.

Subject + be + the least + adjective + noun/complement

مثال:

This is the least expensive hotel nearby.

برخی صفت‌های رایج شکل‌های عالی بی‌قاعده دارند.

گروهی که مقایسه می‌شود اغلب با in یا of معرفی می‌شود.

2. This is the smallest room in the house.
3. August is the hottest month here.
4. That was the easiest question on the test.
5. This is the most comfortable chair in the office.
6. He bought the most expensive phone in the store.

10. It is the furthest shop from my home.

استثناها

برخی صفت‌ها شکل‌های عالی بی‌قاعده دارند.

• good → the best
• bad → the worst
• far → the farthest / the furthest

معمولاً از most و -est با یک صفت به‌طور همزمان استفاده نکنید.

the most tallest

حرف تعریف the معمولاً قبل از صفت عالی استفاده می‌شود وقتی صفت یک اسم را توصیف می‌کند.

• She is the fastest runner.
• This is the best option.

وقتی یک کلمه ملکی از قبل اسم را مشخص می‌کند، the استفاده نمی‌شود.

• my best friend
• her biggest problem
• our most important task

برخی صفت‌های دو هجایی می‌توانند بسته به صفت و کاربرد، از -est یا most استفاده کنند.

• the cleverest / the most clever
• the quietest / the most quiet

اشتباهات رایج

1. Incorrect: She is tallest student in the class. Correct: She is the tallest student in the class. Explanation: صفت‌های عالی معمولاً از the قبل از صفت استفاده می‌کنند.

2. Incorrect: This is most expensive car here. Correct: This is the most expensive car here. Explanation: از the قبل از most + adjective در صفت عالی استفاده کنید.

3. Incorrect: He is the most tallest boy in the group. Correct: He is the tallest boy in the group. Explanation: از most و -est با یک صفت به‌طور همزمان استفاده نکنید.

4. Incorrect: This is the beautifullest place here. Correct: This is the most beautiful place here. Explanation: صفت‌های بلندتر معمولاً از the most به جای -est استفاده می‌کنند.

5. Incorrect: Today is the hotest day of the week. Correct: Today is the hottest day of the week. Explanation: صامت پایانی در hot را قبل از اضافه کردن -est دو برابر کنید.

6. Incorrect: This is the easyest question. Correct: This is the easiest question. Explanation: با صفت‌هایی که به صامت + y ختم می‌شوند، y را به i قبل از اضافه کردن -est تغییر دهید.

7. Incorrect: He is my the best friend. Correct: He is my best friend. Explanation: از the استفاده نکنید وقتی یک کلمه ملکی مانند my از قبل اسم را مشخص می‌کند.
