Aggettivi comparativi in inglese

Struttura

Per molti aggettivi brevi, aggiungi -er.

Soggetto + be + aggettivo-er + than + nome/pronome

  • tall → taller
  • fast → faster
  • old → older

Esempio:

Anna is taller than Maria.

  • big → bigger
  • hot → hotter

Se un aggettivo termina in consonante + -y, cambia y in i e aggiungi -er.

  • happy → happier
  • easy → easier

Per molti aggettivi più lunghi, usa more.

Soggetto + be + more + aggettivo + than + nome/pronome

  • more beautiful
  • more comfortable
  • more important

Esempio:

This chair is more comfortable than that one.

Per mostrare un grado inferiore, usa less.

Soggetto + be + less + aggettivo + than + nome/pronome
