Prepoziții de loc

Prepozițiile de loc arată unde se află o persoană, un animal sau un lucru.

Prepozițiile de loc comune includ:

  • in
  • on
  • at
  • under
  • above
  • below
  • behind
  • in front of
  • next to
  • between
  • near
  • opposite

Exemple:

  • The keys are on the table.
  • The milk is in the fridge.
  • She is waiting at the bus stop.
  • The cat is under the chair.

Când se folosește

Folosiți in când ceva este în interiorul unui spațiu închis sau al unei zone mai mari.

  • in a room
  • in a box
  • in a city
  • in a country

Folosiți on când ceva atinge o suprafață.

  • on the floor
  • on the wall
  • on the table

Folosiți at pentru un punct specific sau o locație.

  • at the door
  • at the station
  • at school
  • at work

Folosiți alte prepoziții pentru a descrie poziția unui lucru în raport cu altul.

  • under the bed
  • above the sofa
  • behind the house
  • next to the bank

Structura

O prepoziție de loc vine de obicei înaintea unui substantiv, pronume sau grup nominal.

subject + verb + preposition of place + noun

  • The phone is on the desk.
  • They are in the garden.
  • She is standing next to me.

In, on și at

Prepoziție Utilizare comună Exemplu
in camere, clădiri, orașe, țări She lives in London.

Excepții

Unele expresii comune de loc folosesc prepoziții fixe.

Alegerea între in, on și at poate depinde de modul în care este înțeles locul.

  • She is at the school. — Ea este la locația școlii.
  • She is in the school. — Ea este în interiorul clădirii școlii.

Greșeli comune

  1. Incorect: The keys are in the table. Corect: The keys are on the table. Explicație: Folosiți on când ceva atinge o suprafață.

  2. Incorect: I am in home. Corect: I am at home. Explicație: Folosiți expresia fixă at home.

  3. Incorect: She is on the kitchen. Corect: She is in the kitchen. Explicație: Folosiți in pentru o cameră închisă.

  4. Incorect: The bank is between the supermarket. Corect: The bank is next to the supermarket. Explicație: Folosiți between când ceva este în mijlocul a două lucruri.

  5. Incorect: He is waiting in the bus stop. Corect: He is waiting at the bus stop. Explicație: Folosiți at pentru o locație sau un punct specific.

  6. Incorect: The picture is over the wall. Corect: The picture is on the wall. Explicație: Folosiți on când ceva este atașat de o suprafață.
